Cifas is a fraud prevention service in the United Kingdom, run as a not-for-profit membership association. The business represents organisations from across the public, private and voluntary sectors and currently has over 500 members. Cifas has a stated mission ‘to detect, deter and prevent fraud in society by harnessing technology and working in close partnership with the member organisations”. Under the direction of the Chief Executive, the business is embarking on the delivery of a 5-year business plan, which will be transformational and will underpin ambitious growth targets. The Head of HR will play a key role in ensuring that the business has an HR Strategy which delivers a highly motivated, engaged and skilled workforce, fit for the future and which supports the delivery of the business objectives.
The role will lead a team of 2 HR professionals and is accountable for all aspects of HR across the whole employee lifecycle. They will support the creation of the HR Strategy and will lead on its delivery, ensuring that the initiatives deliver high quality, measurable results. Other elements of the role will be to maintain the Investors in People accreditation, to raise the profile of Cifas externally as an employer of choice and work as part of the Executive team in leading the business through the period of change. The ideal candidate will have c8 years HR experience, be CIPD qualified and is likely to come from a membership led organisation, financial services or customer focused business. Individuals who have experience working in a small but high-profile organisation are of particular interest. They will be able to demonstrate high levels of commercial acumen, coupled with a resilience personality, be strategic but equally happy doing delivery. An enthusiastic individual, with excellent communication skills and the ability to influence is essential. Ambitious and driven, our preferred applicants will bring a proven track record of success and be ready to take on the accountability of the delivery of the HR Strategy for the business. The role must be carried out from the offices in Central London but there is some flexibility for a shorter working week or some home working for some of the time.
